When you scroll Reels or Shorts android's local Accessibility Service registers the scroll gesture and filters class/view tags to make sure it is an active short-form container.

No. The accessibility service is written in native Kotlin and is highly optimized. It only triggers tracking logic when a supported app is active in the foreground and immediately goes to sleep otherwise. It does not perform network requests or background processing when the phone is idle.
No. Apple does not allow third-party apps to access system-wide accessibility features or detect scroll events inside other apps due to sandbox restrictions. BrainRoll is built specifically to leverage Android’s native capabilities.
Yes. All scroll tracking is done entirely on your device. We do not track URLs, images, comments, text inputs or accounts. If you opt into Battles, only a single daily total number (e.g., 85) is synced securely via signed HMAC-SHA256 tokens to prevent tampering and no email or personal details are required.
